Hunter Crest Boarding...
Hunter Crest Farm is pleased to offers boarding at two different facilities in Maryland. Full Board is offered at its Howard County facility and Full and Field Board are offered at its Carroll County facility.

The Hunter Crest facility in Howard County covers approximately 35 acre. It has 20 stalls ranging in size from 10' x 10' to 12' x 16'.  All stalls are matted. The facility includes indoor and outdoor riding arenas and  wash racks & tack room for its boarders.

Our facility in Carroll County covers approximately 45 acres. It includes 19 stalls. Nine (9) of the stalls are 12' x 12' and 10 stalls are 16' x 16'.  The facility includes an 175' x 275' outdoor riding ring, wash racks & a tack room. We also have run-in sheds available for all field board horses.

Hunter Crest takes pride in offering quality care for its boarder, school and retirement horses. We use nothing but top quality feed and hay and use American Woodfibers sawdust for bedding. Unlike most boarding and lesson facilities, Hunter Crest provides liberal horse turnout in fields that have spring, summer and fall grass.

Boarding Conditions and Requirements...

Hunter Crest Farm requires that our Howard County boarders have at least one family members enrolled in our monthly riding lesson programs. This is necessary because of the high operating cost of our Howard County boarding facilities. Boarders at our Carroll County facility are not subject to this lesson enrollment requirement.

All new horses are require to have a negative coggins, up-to-date, appropriate shots (with shot and health records signed by vet) and a fecal exam. These requirements are to insure the protection and the safety and heath of all horses at Hunter Crest's facilities . Verification of these records are required prior to the arrival of all horses at our facilities.

Hunter Crest Farm is unable to accept horses that crib or have dangerous vices. We can not afford the added expenses and liabilities associated with boarding horses that might be dangerous or have harmful vices.

A $600 non-refundable deposit is required for all new boarders. This deposit must be paid prior to the arrival of the boarder's horse at either of our facilities. Your deposit will not be refunded to you

Our monthly board fee is $600 at our Howard Co. and $550 Carroll Co. facilities. Field board is only offered at our Carroll Co. facility at a fee of $225 per month. The monthly boarding payments are due by the 1st of each month.

Late Fees: A $25 per week late fee will be charged for boarding fees received after the 7 th of the month. An additional $25 late fee is due for every additional week thereafter.

Good vet and farrier services are hard to find. Hunter Crest is fortunate to have excellent vet and farrier services. Boarders are welcome to use one of our vets or farrier or you may want to use your own.
