Hunter Crest Boarding...
Hunter Crest Farm is pleased to
offers boarding
at two different facilities in Maryland. Full Board is offered at its
Howard County facility and Full and Field Board are offered at its
Carroll County facility.

The Hunter Crest facility in Howard County covers approximately 35
acre. It has 20
stalls ranging in size from 10' x 10' to 12' x 16'. All
stalls are matted. The facility includes indoor and outdoor riding
arenas and wash racks & tack room for its boarders.
Our
facility in Carroll County covers approximately 45 acres. It
includes 19
stalls. Nine (9) of the stalls are 12' x 12' and 10 stalls are 16' x 16'.
The facility includes
an 175' x 275' outdoor riding ring,
wash racks
& a tack room. We also have run-in sheds available for all field
board horses.

Hunter Crest takes pride in
offering quality care for its boarder, school and retirement
horses. We use nothing but top quality feed and hay and use American
Woodfibers sawdust for bedding. Unlike most boarding and lesson
facilities, Hunter Crest provides liberal horse turnout in fields that
have spring, summer and fall grass.

Boarding Conditions and Requirements...
Hunter
Crest Farm requires that our Howard
County boarders have at least one family members enrolled in our
monthly
riding lesson programs. This is necessary because of the high operating
cost of our Howard County boarding facilities. Boarders at our Carroll County facility
are not subject to this lesson enrollment requirement.
All
new horses are require to have a negative coggins,
up-to-date, appropriate shots (with shot and health
records signed by vet) and a fecal exam. These
requirements are to insure the protection
and the safety and heath of
all horses at Hunter Crest's
facilities . Verification of these records are
required prior
to the arrival of all horses at our facilities.
Hunter Crest Farm is
unable to accept horses that crib or have dangerous vices. We can not
afford the added expenses and liabilities
associated with boarding horses that might be dangerous or have harmful
vices.

A
$600 non-refundable deposit is required for all new
boarders. This deposit must be paid prior to the arrival
of the boarder's horse at either of our facilities. Your
deposit will not be refunded to you
Our
monthly board fee is $600 at our Howard
Co. and $550 Carroll Co. facilities. Field board is only
offered at our Carroll Co. facility at a fee of
$225 per month. The monthly boarding payments are due by
the 1st of each month.
Late Fees: A $25 per week
late fee
will be
charged for boarding fees received after the 7 th of the month. An
additional $25 late fee is due for every additional week thereafter.

Good vet and farrier services are hard to find. Hunter Crest is fortunate to have excellent vet and farrier services. Boarders are welcome to use one of our vets or farrier or you may want to use your own.

Our Carroll County facility is located at 1026 Silver Run
Valley Road, Westminster, Maryland.
Full Board at our Carroll County Facility Includes:
- Blanketing during the
winter
- Installing fly masks when required
during the summer
- Daily stall cleaning
- Quality woodfiber bedding
- Quality hay and grain
- Group turn out (Private and
semi-private
turn-out is available for an additional charge)
- Use
of outdoor ring when not being used for lessons
(weather permitting)
- Worming program

Field
Board at our Carroll County
Facility Includes:
- Run-in shed and plenty
of grass in every
field.
- Access to a wash rack
and electricity at
the run-in sheds.
- Extra grain and hay.
(Field board does not include the use of any
of the barns.)
