About Hunter
Crest

Hunter
Crest Farm is a full service Hunter/Jumper training and boarding
facility that caters
to
all levels of riders, from beginners who simply want to enjoy horses
and riding, to A-rated competitors wishing to improve their
Hunter/Jumper
skills.

Kelly
and "Heart of Gold" With Another Winning Trip
We are a
privately owned and operated business that has been providing
Hunter/Jumper equestrian services to the Maryland community for
over 15 years. We are happy to offer our clients facilities at two Maryland
locations. The first facility is in the Fulton/Clarksville area of Howard County
and our second is
in the beautiful Silver Run Valley in northern Carroll County.
Our home office, breeding program, field board, and horse retirement
operations are provided at our Carroll County facility.

Hunter Crest Farm’s focus has
shifted
over the years from extensive
A-rated Hunter/Jumper showing, to running a full service Hunter/ Jumper
business with a comprehensive set of horse
programs including quality horse boarding, a Hunter/Jumper Riding
School, local
and rated horse showing services, and an extensive summer
training/ riding
program.
Hunter
Crest Farm also provides selective horse purchasing assistance,
horse training, and tune-up services.
The
second portion of the Hunter
Crest Farm business is a Sales Barn. We currently have a number of
quality
Hunter, Jumper, and Dressage prospects including
some exceptional weanlings,
yearlings, 2- and 3-year-olds, and performance horses.

Hunter Crest Sale Horses are Top
Quality With Excellent Bloodlines
In addition to our Hunter/Jumper
services and Sales Barn, Hunter
Crest also runs a Breeding Program, the third portion of our business.
We have an
impressive stallion who is a son of All The Gold.
This stallion is the top-ranked International Hunter Futurity (IHF)
stallion of all times and his offspring have dominated the IHF
competition in recent years. We also
have a small but select crop of five excellent broodmares that we use in our
breeding program.
Hunter Crest
Farm also provides a Retirement Home to many of the horses that have
enriched our lives and have given a lifetime of love and service. These
retirement horses are given a life of leisure with
plenty of grass, horse companionship, and the love and affection they
have rightfully earned and deserve. It is our way of trying to
return a small measure of thanks for a lifetime of hard work and
devotion given.

Riding School...
We believe our Riding School
is easily the best in Maryland, and its principal trainer, Brad Fincher,
is unquestionably one of the best in the region.
He has been riding and competing for over 25 years, and his
Hunter/Jumper show record is most impressive. He was almost unbeaten
when he competed on the A-Rated show circuit in the 1980's and 1990's.
To ensure maximum attention to
each of
our students, needs, our Riding School offers individual, semi-private
and small group lessons. We teach students on their
own
horses or provide a safe, seasoned school horse for their use. Our
Riding
School focuses on
creating a safe, fun
learning
environment with small class sizes and some of the best school
horses
in the
area. Our safety record has been remarkable over the years.
Winning performance
in the Hunter/Jumper
show ring
is the
proper combination of a well-prepared rider and horse, each with a
confident,
winning
attitude. Every rider and horse is unique and needs specialized
instruction to achieve their full potential. Our more advanced
lesson program is taught by Brad Fincher. We keep the class size small
(4
or fewer) so Brad can tailor his instructions to the individual
and his or her horse.
We
currently have over 50 students enrolled in our more advanced Riding School lesson programs.

Boarding...
Hunter Crest
Farm
offers boarding at both of
our Maryland facilities. At our
Carroll County
facility, we
offer Full
and Field Board. At our Howard County
facility, we offer only Full Board. Boarders at our Howard County
facility are required to enroll in our Riding School.

Horse Show
Services...
Hunter
Crest Farm offer a wide range of Horse Show
services to its clients,
including horse show trailering, training, and free use of
school horses for our students. We believe that horse shows are an
important part of
the training and development process for those who wish to become top
Hunter/Jumper riders. They
are also fun -- especially if you win -- and Hunter Crest riders win a
lot!
Summer
Training and Riding Programs...
For 2008 Hunter Crest Farm
offers a number of week-long summer camp programs
for beginners to advanced riders. These programs
are offered from 18 June to 3 August
at our Howard County facility. They run from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday
through Friday. Each weekly session is limited to 10 participants who
ride in groups of no more than 5 people. A fun Hunter Crest Horse
Show is held each
Friday so that the participants can show off their new skills to
parents, friends and relatives!

Horse
Purchase, Training, and
Tune-Up Services...
Brad
Fincher has
demonstrated an intuitive ability to identify top performing horses,
and
he is
one of the best Hunter/Jumper horse trainers in the area. He is known
for his ability
to take previously untrainable horses and turn them into star
Hunter/Jumper
performers. Based on his demonstrated capabilities, Hunter
Crest Farm provides horse purchase, training, and tune-up
services in select cases.
Sales
Barn...
Hunter Crest's Sales Barn specializes in quality
Hunter, Jumper, and
Dressage
horse prospects. We currently have
a number of top performance
horses for sale. They have excellent bloodlines and/or proven
capabilities. We believe you will
agree that our performance horses are exceptional. We
still have some weanling and yearling sale prospects from Gift of Gold. Four of our
broodmares are
currently in foal with
a 2007 delivery. They were bred to Gift of Gold, Corlando and Paparazzo. We also have two Corlando-fathered Hunter/Jumper mares for sale.
The Hunter Crest
Farm Breeding Program is currently small
but expanding. We offer
the services of the Hunter Crest stallion Gift of Gold
(1999 colt sired
by All
The
Gold
out
of Copper
Penny by Schoenfelder).
Our
broodmare collection is small but exceptional. Of our five primary broodmares,
one is out of the top IHF stallion All The Gold, two are
out of the internationally known Grand Prix Jumper Budweiser,
one is from the international Dressage star Waldorf,
and the one is out of the famous
Hunter/Jumper Castle Magic.
